Guillaume Blanc-Marianne
Guillaume Blanc-Marianne is a French art historian, critic, and independent curator. He holds a doctorate in contemporary art history from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, specializing in the history of photography. His thesis, defended in 2022, proposes a genealogy of the notion of "civilization of the image" in France in the 1950s. He was a fellow through the LabEx CAP program at the Département des Estampes et de la photographie of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (2014–15), a research fellow at the Institut national d'histoire de l'art (2015–18), a researcher at the Centre allemand d'histoire de l'art in Paris (DFK Paris, 2022–24), and a fellow at the Institut pour la photographie in Lille.
