Christopher Bollen

Christopher Bollen (b. 1975, United States) is an American novelist and journalist. He was a contributing editor and, for several years, editor at large at Interview magazine. He lives and works in New York.

His novels include Lightning People (2012), Orient (2015), The Destroyers (2017), and A Beautiful Crime (2020). Each engages with questions of identity, ambition, class, and moral failure, set against specific and vividly rendered locations — New York's outer boroughs, the East End of Long Island, the Greek islands, and Venice respectively. His journalism has covered art, culture, and fashion for major American publications, and his position at the intersection of literary fiction and the magazine world has made him a visible figure in both American cultural journalism and contemporary fiction.
